The Nevada ERC board's mission is to assist governmental agencies to find ways to implement energy conservation, comply with the Nevada Energy Conservation Plan, and upgrade their physical environment without new tax dollars.

This includes compliance with all aspects of the NECP, including building a comprehensive program to maximize the implementation of immediate, short-term, and long-term energy conservation measures.

ERC is short for Energy Retrofit Coordinator. The statutes that enable public bodies to develop long-term energy savings strategies are NRS 338.1905 - 1907. The wording of the law requires the governing body to appoint an Energy Retrofit Coordinator to oversee the development and procurement of energy savings strategies.

The Nevada ERC Board's role is to assist public bodies in ensuring their ERC is successful when implementing Long-Term energy conservation measures through performance contracting strategies.

We:

  • Lower the risk of your energy retrofit project

  • Increase the value of the energy retrofit project by reducing contractor costs and markups and increasing the amount of guaranteed savings

  • Greatly decrease the amount of your staff's time and involvement in this process, which further increases the value of the project.

We are able to provide this value through our unique process. The Nevada ERC Board may be hired for any or all of the tasks described below. In all cases, we price on a fee basis, whereby we agree to provide the "deliverables" for the given task at a fixed price.

All of these steps adhere to the process set forth and required by NRS 338.1905 - 1907.
